With a clean, flat and well-organized deck, wide steps towards the bow that facilitate comfortable movement, a cockpit focused on comfort and the manoeuvre grouped near the rudder to facilitate handling with a small crew, this sailboat meets the requirements that are demanded of a family and high altitude cruiser in this category.
The Oceanis 51.1 adapts to the requirements, the navigation area and the program of each shipowner. Offering multiple rigging options, from self-tacking jib to genoa and staysail, as well as Code 0 or asymmetric spinnaker, all of which provide good performance, even in light winds.
Thanks to the combination of features and volume, Beneteau manages to convey a feeling of spaciousness greater than the 50 feet of this model. From the owner's cabin in the bow, through the central lounge and kitchen, to the aft cabins, the Oceanis 51.1 exudes habitability, space and lots of light.
Among the multiple interior configurations, it is worth highlighting the island-shaped bed in the owner's cabin through which it can be accessed from both sides and the compartment between the cabin and the anchor well that can optionally be converted into a single cabin with its own bathroom.
· Hull design: From bow to midship, the hull design has a concave shape just above the waterline that smooths out at mid-length. With this innovation, an increase in habitable volume is achieved inside without having to resort to an increase in the volume of water displaced by the hull.
· Almost custom configuration: The Oceanis 51.1 allows the boat to be customized to the taste and needs of each owner thanks to the numerous configuration options, both inside with 3, 4 or 5 cabins and 2, 3 or 4 bathrooms, and in its navigation programs.
· It considers navigation lovers: In addition to the Performance Kit, it adds more sportiness to this sailboat, the First Line version (named after Beneteau's classic First regatta range) is equipped, among others, with a carbon or aluminum elongated mast, up to 35% of additional sail surface in high-tech material and a 2.80 m keel with a lead bulb.
