The fast and familiar sailboat, which offers comfort and enjoyment to the crew and joy at the helm to the sailors. The Oceanis 40.1 reaches high and easy to handle average speeds for the standards of a family sailboat, 12 meters that adapt to different cruising expectations.
Versatility and comfort, this model offers several versions of configuration, drafts and rigging so that each owner can customize their boat according to the desired navigation program. Marc Lombard has designed the hull of a sailboat that achieves volume and large space, both on deck and inside, while maintaining all the features.
The combination of the tulip hull design and the incorporation of fins, which reduce the surface in contact with the water and allow higher speeds, achieves a fast, stable and precise boat when turning, as well as a very wide deck, unique in this size of sailboat. The good work that has been done on the width of the boat and the hull design is also reflected in the safety on board and the smooth feel of the rudder, with easy course keeping.
A large bathtub stands out, representative of lengths greater than 12 meters, with easy access to the bow, wide benches, ideal for enjoying pleasant after-dinner conversations, and two steering positions that have a side seat, a folding bench and adjustable panels to regulate the ground plane during navigation.
The space and breadth offered by the interior of the Oceanis 40.1 is surprising, since it is far superior to what can be expected from a sailboat of its length. The ceiling height is 1.90 meters and the standard shipowner's cabin has a 1.60m x 2m bed and generous storage capacity. The large amount of natural light that enters through the numerous portholes and hatches helps to increase the feeling of volume, as well as providing very good ventilation.
The interior woods can be chosen in walnut or oak and the distribution of the living spaces demonstrates the ingenuity with which it has been designed. A C-shaped kitchen that has numerous storage spaces and a large work area. It has the possibility of choosing between two, three or four cabins, this last configuration is very rare in 12-meter cruisers.
· The pleasure of anchoring: the bathtub has been adapted to facilitate the circulation on deck and the enjoyment of life on board during leisure time. The pleasure of anchoring is reinforced when the transom unfolds and becomes a much larger bathing platform than is common in this size of boat.
· Versions adapted to the preferences of the navigator: From the First Line version, with a longer mast and deeper draft, to the standard version, with a furling mast and self-tacking jib that facilitates handling with a small crew, owners can adjust the configuration of their sailboat to the desired sailing program.
· Space and amplitude: With 4 versions of interior distribution, both couples, groups of friends or large families can feel how the Oceanis 40.1 adapts to their needs and lifestyle, there is room for everything!
