The Oceanis 42 marks a new generation of cruising yachts, combining Beneteau's renowned French savoir-faire with a more modular, comfortable and elegant design. As the successor to the Oceanis 40.1, it has been created for sailors who want to enjoy extended voyages in complete comfort, offering an exceptional balance of sailing performance, liveability and ease of handling.
Designed by Nauta Design with naval architecture by Marc Lombard Yacht Design, the Oceanis 42 features a modern deck where every space has been carefully considered to enhance life on board. Its balanced proportions and fluid walkways create a true outdoor living area, perfect for both cruising and relaxing at anchor.
At the stern, the Oceanis 42 offers two cockpit configurations to suit different sailing styles. The open version transforms the bathing platform into a natural extension of the cockpit, creating a seamless connection with the sea and providing effortless access to the water. The closed version incorporates comfortable aft seating, increasing safety while underway and creating an additional social area for family and friends.
Inspired by the Oceanis 47 and Oceanis 52, the helm stations feature ergonomic consoles with all controls within easy reach, integrated seating designed for long passages and a layout that makes every manoeuvre more intuitive, comfortable and precise.
The interior of the Oceanis 42 immediately conveys a feeling of light, space and sophistication. Abundant natural light, combined with Sand Oak finishes and Premium upholstery available in the Ivory, Sunset and Pacific ambiences, creates a warm, contemporary and elegant atmosphere.
The saloon has been designed as the heart of life on board, offering a spacious and welcoming area for relaxing, dining or planning the next voyage. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the integrated chart table and smart storage solutions to the neatly organised electrical control panel, creating a practical and refined living space.
One of the Oceanis 42's greatest strengths is its exceptional interior modularity. It is the only yacht in its class to offer five different interior layouts, as well as a choice between an L-shaped galley, ideal for greater stability under sail, or a longitudinal galley with an extended worktop for enhanced comfort on longer cruises.

Each listing indicates whether the price includes taxes, equipment, and services. For most new boats, the price includes VAT and delivery “ready to sail”. For pre-owned boats, the offer’s content depends on whether it is our own unit or one managed for a client.
Yes. For new orders or units not yet in production, you can adapt the engine, equipment, or finishes. For stock or pre-owned units, our workshop will evaluate possible custom modifications or upgrades.
It depends on the brand, model, and shipyard schedule: it can range from 3–4 months to more than a year. We often have stock units available for immediate delivery; contact us.
Yes. We work with SYS Finance, exclusive broker of SGB Finance (Société Générale + Groupe Bénéteau). We offer leasing and marine credit with personalised conditions.

It depends on the boat. For motorboats, licences range from the Nautical Licence (6 metres) to the PER (up to 15 m) or higher titles. We help you choose the most suitable model based on your licence and navigation project.
