Located in the Port of Cambrils, Marina Cambrils is a port infrastructure designed to stimulate nautical tourism and base-level boating. It is a multi-service facility that allows a wide range of maritime activities: from boat rentals to water sports and other recreational nautical experiences, all managed by the top operators in the sector. Marina Cambrils thus becomes the only charter marina for companies or boat owners wishing to rent their vessels along the Catalan coast, while also promoting nautical activities and tourism on the Costa Daurada and in the Terres de l’Ebre.

The charter marina has become a benchmark on the Catalan coast, for both users and operators looking to work from a port with top-quality facilities and services. Its model encourages the destationalization of tourism, fosters social interaction, and strengthens local boating, inviting citizens to engage with the sea through boat rentals and service usage rather than owning a berth or boat.

Marina Cambrils is a pioneering project in Catalonia, aligned with the strategic lines of the Ports Plan Horizon 2030, with potential to expand this model to other Catalan ports. The charter management system aims to increase nautical activity and stimulate the economic network linked directly or indirectly to it.

Marina Cambrils, an innovative and environmentally friendly project

The project includes 45 new berths for vessels ranging from 5 to 15 meters, floating docks, and a state-of-the-art intelligent marina that is environmentally friendly, equipped with advanced consumption control, monitoring, and access systems. The facilities feature floating pontoons, fingers, and a fixed platform housing offices, bathrooms, recycling areas, and storage, offering a modern and functional space for all nautical needs.

According to Antoni Subirana, manager of BeCharter: "This concession is an excellent opportunity to develop nautical activities and charter tourism on the Costa Daurada and in the Terres de l’Ebre, positioning us at the same level as other destinations in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands."

Offer of nautical activities throughout the year

One of Marina Cambrils’ main goals is to make boating accessible to all citizens, beyond the summer season. The marina offers programs and options for boating without a license at affordable prices, including:

  • Sailing Club, allowing users to enjoy the sea a few days per month through a membership fee.

  • Affordable rental of small boats that don’t require a captain’s license.

  • Subscriptions to sail or participate in activities with all types of vessels: sailboats, motorboats, jet skis, kayaks, fishing boats, and floating devices.

Additionally, Marina Cambrils runs winter programs for schools, companies, and users who want to learn or professionalize in sailing. Subirana adds: "We want the Port of Cambrils and the sea to be perceived as a nearby, accessible asset at the service of all citizens who want to live closer to the sea."

€535,000 Investment for a Flagship Project

This nautical service hub, aligned with the Ports Plan Horizon 2030, involved an investment of €535,000. BeCharter, the 15-year concessionaire and part of Guasch Group, manages the project. Rodolf Guasch, CEO of the group, states: "We have the opportunity to transform Cambrils and the Catalan coast into a unique tourist hub, positioning ourselves, thanks to service diversification, at the level of other top European destinations."
